My music career started at the age of 2
1/2 when I first turned over my sand pale and danced on top to the
Beatle's "Come Together." My love for music has grown stronger
ever since. I learned to play the piano between the ages of 5 and
6, only to give up and change interests several times. Then at age
10, I taught myself to play piano by ear. I learned to play the
French horn through middle school and high school, where I also
incorporated my knowledge of piano in the form of synthesizes in several
"Rock Bands" (to get the girl's attention). After high school, the
rock scene grew. I was a founding member of the successful Dallas
band, Crucial Fiction, which took up nearly a decade of my life.
We disbanded un early 2001, at which time I became responsible -
continued waiting tables for money, which has always been a constant, as
Dallas Bands don't make a lot of bread. I have a beautiful wife
(who, incidentally got my up on stage for karaoke for the first time), a
beautiful daughter, and a second daughter on the way. I'm very
excited about joining the KJs of Dallas and look forward to growing this
new position life has put before me. If you see me out at a karaoke
show, I'm always up for some music trivia .... wanna try me? |

1977, born in
Houston he is truly a born and bred Texan. True, he grew up in
Venezuela, South America, but he moved back here (as fast as he could)
to Texas to live in Celina during his High School years. (Go Bobcats!)
His karaoke background starts with his apprenticeship through Wess
Petersdorf’s company Karaoke Anonymous (KA) in 1997 at Humperdink’s in
Richardson and then again for him at the Red Onion in Garland in 1998.
He worked as a server for Good Eats and Tony Roma’s, but continued his
training as a KJ on the weekends with various different karaoke
companies. In 2003 he finally found a home with Lisa Canterberry
and Little Sister Productions. He still works days, but he loves his nights as a karaoke
host. His personal time is devoted to his wife Jennie and together they
are raising two beautiful daughters whom he adores. You will also
usually find Jennie at almost every show helping him out with singers as
well as giving him a break every once in awhile to mingle while she runs
the show. Christian Tatsch is a well known popular KJ and a proud
member of the DFW KJ Alliance. He was also voted BEST NEW KJ for 2004
at the Singers Choice Awards 2004. Christian has since acquired
his own equipment and started his own karaoke company with partners.
We wish him the best of luck in his career move. |

1973, Born in
Albuquerque New Mexico, but believes that she is a born Texan, no matter
what anyone tells her. Jennie moved to Midland in 1976, and from
there then here to Plano in 1980. She completed all her academic
education in Plano and continued to live here until she married into the
military (North Dakota, YIKES!) in 1991. Divorced in 1993, she moved
back to Plano to live with her mother and father, and to find herself.
(Funny, she found herself doing a LOT of karaoke.) She met Christian at Humperdink’s. Throughout the years that followed, there was still a LOT
of karaoke and a crush between the two ensued. This crush became more
than a close friendship and they were married in April of 2001. She now
resides with him in Frisco raising two little girls… well that depends
on who you ask if they are BOTH little. (one is eight and the other is
almost two.) She helps Christian with his karaoke shows and supports
him all the way with whatever avenues he chooses to take. She is just
as involved with karaoke as he is, and enjoys her nights out with just
her and her hubby, singing songs, enjoying friends and good spirits.
Jennie has also left LSP to join her husband in a new company venture. |

Norm,
the youngest of six siblings, had been surrounded by music since
childhood from altar boy to a percussionist in the high school marching
band. He was a host for Little Sister Productions beginning 1997 and
ending in 2005 with a loyal following. He had been a frequent karaoke singer around town
and finally decided to make the leap to host the show. He wowed his
audience with a wide variety of music venues/genres and stepped up
to aid Little Sister during many growing pains. He will forever be
remembered and a well-regarded
member of the team. Norm moved to Ohio to start a new life with his
finance Lori Larson, whom he met at karaoke while working for Little
Sister Productions. Congratulations & Best Wishes Norm!. |

A
Dallas native and Skyline HS graduate (1987), I discovered karaoke (or
did it discover me?) while serving this great country of ours. I was
stationed in the Karaoke Holy Land, Japan, in the early 90's and saw
this refrigerator sized machine that you paid 100 yen and programmed
your own song. Right then and there I became a night club act for any GI
who'd pay for the song or buy me a drink. Even if I didn't know the
requested song, I lied and did it any way. (Big Hair 80's rock was and
is still my favorite genre.) I've been hooked since.
My
recent big "career" in karaoke started while living in the Houston area
from 1998 to 2001. There I won many contest and made 10 times as many
great friends. I was known as "Elton Dave" thanks to a witty
introduction by my best friend Roger while we sang the duet version of
"Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me".
I
moved back to Big D in 2001 and sought out my karaoke fix and found it
satisfied easily in numerous locations. Michelle Kristen, having
misplaced a KJ, called me to ask if I'd like to KJ a show. I hadn't ever
done it, was kinda scared, but took it on any way. (More mic time,
right?) Soon I was working freelance just to help out anyone who needed
a KJ.
I
love helping out singers and hope that I use the good mannerisms and
influences of the KJ's who helped me throughout the past to help us all
have fun. Karaoke is a hobby, way of life, stress therapy, and pseudo
religion to me. Fun and happiness are it's only rewards. (Ok, maybe some
cash occasionally, hehe.)
I'm a
dee-vorced pappy to three, Krista, Alex, and Missy. I currently live in
Downtown Dallas with my beloved Shelly.
I
look forward to meeting any and all of you and just plain having a hum
dinger of good ol' time. Rock on!
Dave still hosts area
shows filling in for LSP when needed and other karaoke
companies. |

I am
Chasity Sheppard. I have been doing Karaoke for five years. I had my
first Karaoke experience in College. In 1995, I was a freshman in
college. During my first week in Missouri, the Student Government had a
KJ come do a show for the entire freshman class. Well, I was hooked
that night. However, it wasn’t until 1999 until I was doing karaoke on
a regular basis. I went to 8-Balls where Lisa Canterberry with Little
Sister Productions was hosting on a Saturday nights. I sang the whole
night. From that day forward, I have been singing karaoke.
One
night, while at Karaoke with Norm Draper at 8-Balls, I asked Norm to let
me work the microphone while he ran the system. After that taste of a
KJ I thought “I could do that!” I was hooked on being a KJ from that
point. I went to Lisa Canterberry and told her about my interest in a
being KJ. I emailed her my resume and started training with her in May
of 2003. I finished training and Lisa did not have a show for me after
training was complete. In late June, I received a call from Susie
Harroff asking me to help her with some shows on the weekends. I agreed
and thus began my career as a KJ. I am currently working for Little
Sister Productions. I have been a KJ for eleven months and . . .LOVING
